A message from the staff of Children of the Lord Outreach Ministries, Inc.

Thank you for your prayers and testimonies. You have made this network a success by being a part of God's kingdom building. The members of this network have acted in a Godly manner. And for that, we thank you!

We want to ask you to invite your neighbors, your co-workers, the person you see on the way to work everyday. There are people who use the Internet everyday but they are thirsty for the Word of God. If they check their e-mail everyday, then they can read God's Word everyday. We provide daily scripture, gospel videos, the prayer wall and a testimony page. There is someone who needs to build their relationship with God. We hope that this network provides an outlet for that relationship to grow. Keep praying. Prayer changes things! God Bless you!

Praise Report

I want to include an e-mail sent to our ministry from a grateful parent of an inmate which we ministered in the Milwaukee County Jail. Her name is intentionally left out.

“My name is -------------. You have been a blessing to my son Jonathon at the county jail and I would like to offer my services to you. I am a Social Work undergraduate student at UWM-Milwaukee. As part of my program I need to do volunteer work and I would love to show you my appreciation for all that you have done for my son by volunteering for your organization. Jonathon has told me how much you have helped him and it would be my honor to help you in return. My main goal after I complete my degree is to work with either youth or women in the prison system, so I think this could work out great. Please let me know what you think.”

This young man accepted Jesus Christ on October 18, 2011 in jail. Our ministry is trying to change lives by the power of Jesus Christ. We take no credit or glory for this ministry. The credit and glory belongs to God.

Day of Peace

On this day, let us remember that peace brings about peace; violence and war brings about violence and war. Dr. Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. stood on his faith that peace will always win. Keep Dr. King's dream alive in our mind. Keep God's Word alive in our hearts.

Something to think about

A friend just posted this and I wanted to pass it on... A well-known speaker started off his seminar holding up a $20.00 bill. In the room of 200, he asked, "Who would like this $20 bill?" Hands started going up. He said, "I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first, let me do this." He proceeded to crumple up the $20 dollar bill. He then asked, "Who still wants it...?" Still the hands wer............e up in the air. "Well," he replied, "What if I do this?" And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. "Now, who still wants it?" Still the hands went into the air. "My friends, we have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20. Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value. Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who DO LOVE you. The worth of our lives comes not in what we do or who we know, but by WHO WE ARE. You are Special-Don't EVER forget it." If you do not pass this on, you may never know the lives it touches, the hurting hearts it speaks to, or the hope that it may bring. Count your blessings...not your problems.

Reach for the prize

Philippians 3:13-14

King James Version (KJV)

13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
